Banner Program
A collaborative effort between the HOPE Foundation and the Discover Phillips County Project for beautification, attraction, signage and branding.

An ongoing program for HOPE Foundation with a 3 year commitment with the Discover Phillips County Project.

Cost of the banners will be approx. $100. They are 2' x 5' and made of heavy duty (18 oz.) vinyl and estimated to last a minimum of three (3) years. In researching some have lasted up to five years and more. Sign and Designs out of Hays did the Ellis banners. We are looking at having Mike Runion of Glade, Kansas making the signs.

HOW THE PROGRAM WORKS

Each organization, individual or business will sponsor the cost of the banner and three (3) years of pledges.

Pledges will be $100 per year.

Banners will be hung on the metal poles in the downtown area and on Highway 36 near the downtown area for Phillipsburg. Utility company will be contacted to get permission for wooden poles, East and West of the downtown area on Highway 36 and in towns where metal poles are not available. Permission will be sought for all towns in Phillips County.

Sponsorships will be based on a first come first serve basis and when they sign up they get to pick their pole according to the map we will have made up for the amount of poles available for each town.

Banners will be made with the Discover Phillips County Logo, a welcome to each town, and with the sponsor name on the bottom of each banner.

If demand is greater than expected, then permission will be sought in advance to replace trash receptacles on the metal poles around the town square and/or new benches in the storefronts of downtown area, around the square, park or anywhere the cities feels a need for those.

Other sponsorships could be considered based on the availability of poles and the needs of each town separately. Poles may not be available for all towns so we will take that into consideration for sponsorships when discussing this project with each town. City Councils may have suggestions and ideas for their own towns. We have to be open to those ideas and accommodate each town individually.

WHO BENEFITS

Each sponsor will have their name on the banners as part of advertisement. Each sponsor will contribute a valuable part to the beautification, attraction, signage and branding for the Discover PC Project. Their pledge will also support this Discover PC in future endeavors towards making this project a success. Each sponsor that pledges will also be supporting the Phillipsburg Community Building, for the first three (3) years, on behalf of HOPE Foundation.

For the first three (3) years, pledges will be equally split and placed into HOPE Foundation and a fund will be established for Discover Phillips County Project.

This will be an on going project for the HOPE Foundation and the board of HOPE Foundation will decide after the first three (3) years as to what organizations, groups or projects benefit from the following years of the banner program.

Pledges will be considered a contribution to a non-profit 501(c)(3) tax exempt organization, so pledges may be tax deductible, please consult your income tax professional.
